Farmasiet goes live with Ingrid

Digitally-native Farmasiet has established itself as a tech-driven pioneer in Norway's pharmaceutical space, successfully challenging the three major Norwegian pharmacy chains that primarily focus on physical retail stores. Since its inception in 2014, Farmasiet has experienced a significant growth, with sales reaching well over half a billion Norwegian crowns in 2023. Focusing on finding the best solutions for customers has allowed them to attract hundreds of thousands of new customers in the past few years.

To achieve higher efficiency in logistics and transport operations while processing a growing volume of online orders, Farmasiet turned to Ingrid Transport, a cloud-based transportation management system for booking and managing delivery orders of any scale, including enterprise-level.

“Farmasiet is a tech-driven innovator that is growing rapidly. We’re constantly developing our digital solutions to improve our offer to customers. Deploying Ingrid has increased our logistics efficiency,” says Hilde Andersen-Gott, CTO at Farmasiet.

Andersen-Gott says that for Farmasiet, it’s important that each and every online purchase ends with a fast, efficient, and successful delivery — and transport is often the biggest obstacle. Farmasiet’s investments in a modern digital architecture are key to providing nationwide top-tier customer solutions for every order — whether it’s prescriptions, medical supplies, or beauty products.

“Ingrid’s approach is that our success is first and foremost, because then they also succeed. After four months of operation, we’ve solved several unique challenges that help us both run the warehouse efficiently and deliver on customer promises,” says Andersen-Gott.

Ingrid, who has worked with Farmasiet since before Christmas, has extensive experience providing top-tier delivery experiences for some of the Nordics’ largest pharmacies. Piotr Zaleski, CEO and Co-founder of Ingrid, is very satisfied with the collaboration.

“Delivery is increasingly important in all e-commerce transactions, but especially so in pharmacy. We’re thrilled to work with a fellow innovator like Farmasiet who has the ideal customer experience at the center of what they do, just as Ingrid does,” states Zaleski.

After a few months of collaboration, the results are very positive. Zaleski says that Ingrid has great faith that they can grow together in the future, and is supported by Andersen-Gott, who says that the two are already discussing the development of the collaboration.

With Ingrid, Farmasiet has access to a single transport dashboard with unlimited carrier connectivity, industry-leading response time, and automated booking rules to choose the least expensive, the most reliable, and the fastest carrier product for each type of order.
