How to ensure accurate and competitive delivery data?

To meet Google Shopping's strict requirements and deliver a seamless customer experience, Nordic Nest needed a modern, cost-effective solution for calculating delivery costs without straining their network.

With over 90,000 SKUs, 70 markets, 6.3M delivery cost calculations, and up to 1.5 million delivery cost updates for the Nordic Nest brand alone, the challenge was in balancing precision, scalability, and efficiency.

Nordic Nest’s diverse product range — from small home accessories to bulky furniture — required tailored shipping calculations for each product, market, and platform. Regional variations in shipping services across nearly 70 countries added further complexity.

Peak sales periods like Black Friday pushed their in-house systems to the brink, struggling under the extreme load of millions of price updates.

At the same time, Google Shopping’s strict policies demanded consistent and accurate delivery costs across ads and checkouts to avoid delisting. 

Transitioning from a fragmented system of separate data feeds for each platform to a streamlined, scalable solution became essential for Nordic Nest’s growth and competitiveness.

Solution

Streamlining data management to boost search performance marketing

To tackle these challenges, Nordic Nest partnered with Ingrid to implement a streamlined data processing solution.

Ingrid's CLI (Command Line Interface) was deployed as a container-based service integrated directly with the brand’s e-commerce platform. 

To calculate accurate shipping costs, the CLI uses a unified XML data feed from Nordic Nest that contains detailed product information.

This data feed is then distributed to various platforms, including Google Shopping and Facebook Ads, ensuring consistent and accurate shipping price information across all platforms.
